Why size matters more than you think

A cat that is too big for its litter box will often start going outside it. Not because of behavior issues: because the box is physically uncomfortable to use. When a 16-lb cat crouches in an 18 x 14 box, its hindquarters hang over the edge. That is not a cat that wants to go in that box.

The Petnf at 22 x 17 inches gives even large cats full room to turn around, crouch, and dig without feeling cramped. The 7-inch walls are tall enough that digging sends litter up into the box, not onto the floor.

For multi-cat homes with at least one large cat, this is also a good second box. Smaller cats will use it fine, and the large cat in the house finally has a box that fits.

Steel quality and odor test

The Petnf uses solid-grade stainless steel. It is not as thick as the iPrimio, but the walls are reinforced by their height. The 7-inch walls add rigidity to the box overall, so it does not flex the way some shorter budget boxes do.

In our 30-day odor test, the Petnf performed the same as every other stainless steel box: zero retained odor after a rinse. The non-porous surface means nothing gets absorbed regardless of how much heavy use it gets.
