Zibo Stainless Steel Cat Litter Box Review
If you want a stainless steel litter box without spending $40+, the Zibo is the right call. It is thinner steel than the iPrimio, but it is still non-porous and completely odor-free. For a single average-size cat, it does the job for about $28.

What makes it a good budget pick
The Zibo is 20-gauge steel, which is a step down from the 18-gauge iPrimio. In practical terms, the floor of the box has a very slight flex if you press hard on it. For most cats under 12 lbs, this is a non-issue. The box holds its shape under normal use.
The key advantage of any stainless steel box still applies here: the surface is non-porous. Our 30-day odor test showed zero retained smell. That alone makes the Zibo worth it over any plastic box at any price, because the plastic will smell by month 6 no matter what.
The 18 x 14 inch footprint is fine for cats up to about 12 lbs. If your cat is bigger, step up to the iPrimio or the Petnf. But for a single average-size cat, this is all the space they need.
What we like and what we do not
What we like
- +Best price for a stainless steel box
- +Still completely non-porous and odor-free
- +Lightweight and easy to carry to the sink
- +Good size for most cats
What we do not
- -Thinner steel: slight flex under heavy cats
- -Not big enough for large breeds
- -No rim: scatter is an issue for active diggers
Bottom line
The Zibo is the right buy if you have one cat under 12 lbs and you want to get away from plastic without spending more than $30. It will not last as long as the iPrimio if your cat is heavy, but it will still outlast any plastic box by years. It is a solid entry point into stainless steel litter boxes.
